Pop-art illustration of a masked wrestler swinging a gleaming steel chair inside a packed arena, an explosive red and yellow starburst behind it. It is not a likeness of any wrestler.

Corrections log

The corrections log for Steel Chair Daily. As of October 28, 2026, no correction has been issued. This page explains how one gets recorded.

No correction has been issued on Steel Chair Daily as of the editorial clock for this build, October 28, 2026. The log is empty on purpose. An empty log is not a claim that every sentence is permanent. It is a claim that this version has not yet had to walk a sentence back.

When a correction is needed, it will be added here as a dated entry and the original page will change. An entry needs four things: the date of the correction, the page that was wrong, the sentence that was wrong, and the source that makes the new sentence true. The old sentence stays visible in the log. Deleting it from history is not a correction. Updating updatedDate on the article is required. If the error was a match result, the match status and the result line change together so the card and the prose cannot disagree.

The usual causes are already designed for. A pre-show card and a results page can both be right at different times. Replacing an announced bout with a different bout, the way Stephanie Vaquer’s match became a title fight on the October 26 Raw, is not a correction of the card if the card said the first match was announced and the results page explains the change. It is a correction if the results page still lists the first match as if it happened. A name spelled two ways in one official recap gets a note, not a silent choice, the way EK Prosper and a stray EJ spelling are both mentioned on the NXT results file.

Some items were cut before publication rather than corrected after it. Those cuts are listed in the build report, not in this log, because they never shipped as claims. Cuts include match times and referees that were not on an allowed source, a Collision bout that lived only on an outlet outside the list until Fightful quoted AEW, and reign-start dates that a secondary roundup asserted without a promotion page this desk was willing to treat as the record. If one of those cut items later gets a proper source, it is added as new copy. It is not back-filled into a sentence that pretended it was always there.

Fiction is not corrected into news, and news is not corrected into fiction. If a fictional finish is mistaken for a result, the fix is a clearer banner and, if needed, a log entry that says the piece was never a report. The standards explain the labels. The about page says who is responsible for keeping them. The home page is where a corrected story should still be findable, with the same URL, after the sentence changes.
