Backstory

This is a partial card. AEW’s October 24 Collision recap closed with three bouts “already announced” for Fright Night Dynamite. The promotion’s event page for Chaifetz Arena confirms the live date and the building. It does not print a longer match list. Anything beyond those three is not a match on this page.
The event page says All Elite Wrestling brings Fright Night Dynamite and Collision to Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis on Wednesday, October 28, with a listed time of 6:30 p.m. CT. AEW’s Collision closer tells viewers to watch Fright Night Dynamite that Wednesday on TBS and HBO Max at 8/7c from the same arena. Fightful’s report of the October HBO Max schedule also lists October 28 as Fright Night Dynamite at 8 p.m. One Fightful feature dates the Dynamite taping to October 29. That sentence conflicts with AEW’s event page, with the “this Wednesday” line in a recap published October 24, and with the schedule report. This card follows AEW’s date.
The three announced matches
Darby Allin is scheduled to defend the AEW TNT Championship against Josh Alexander. AEW’s October 24 recap says Alexander, with RPG Vice, beat Blade Brown and then asked for Allin on Fright Night Dynamite, with the TNT Title named in the challenge. The same recap’s closing list prints the match as TNT Championship: Darby Allin against Josh Alexander. Alexander is a member of the Don Callis Family in that recap. The challenge is the story. The bout is announced, not a result.
Persephone is scheduled to defend the TBS Championship against Queen Aminata. AEW’s October 21 Dynamite recap says Aminata beat Maya World to become the number-one contender and would get the shot on Fright Night Dynamite. The October 24 closer repeats the match in the announced list. Persephone is the champion in that framing. No result exists yet, so this page does not pick a winner.
FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, with Stokely) against the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) is match three of a best-of-five. AEW says the series is tied 1-1 after FTR won match two on the October 24 Collision. The recap describes the finish: Alex Shelley tried a victory roll, Cash Wheeler sat down on it, Stokely held Shelley’s arm, and Wheeler grabbed the rope out of the referee’s view. Match three is the bout AEW listed for Fright Night. The series lead is a fact about the series, not a prediction for Wednesday.
What this card is sitting inside
Will Ospreay is not in the three announced matches. He is in the week anyway. AEW’s October 21 recap identifies him as AEW World Champion and describes a tag loss, with Adam Copeland, to Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight, followed by a Blood and Guts challenge that the Callis Family accepted. That match is filed on the Blood and Guts card for November 4, not as a Dynamite bout tonight. Keeping it off this match list is the point of a partial card. The world title file explains the longer trail.
Collision’s half of Fright Night is a different episode. AEW’s event page sells the St. Louis date as Dynamite and Collision together. Fightful, quoting an AEW post, puts an Artist of Stardom Championship match on the Saturday, October 31 Collision broadcast. That bout is on the Collision card, not here.
Still three matches on the morning of Oct. 28
F4W’s preview still has the same three bouts. It also says Collision, which airs Saturday, Oct. 31, tapes tonight. Collision tapes after Dynamite. Spoilers from that taping are not published here until a results file is posted. The Saturday bout that is already sourced stays on the Collision card.
Fightful reports that CMLL announced Darby Allin against Hechicero, non-title, at Arena México on Friday, Oct. 30. That bout is not a fourth Dynamite match. The overnight wire files it. Allin’s TNT defense on this card is still announced, not a result. The Dynamite hub gets a results link only after a sourced recap exists.
