AEW World Championship
AEW's October recaps call Will Ospreay AEW World Champion, cite a Clockwork Carnage retention, and do not put the title on the Blood and Guts stipulation.

Start date not on file Will Ospreay Length not on file
AEW's Oct. 21 and Oct. 24 recaps call him world champion and say he retained at Clockwork Carnage. They do not date the reign's start.
AEW’s October 21 Dynamite recap calls Will Ospreay the AEW World Champion, and the October 24 Collision recap does it again. This file’s current line is that name. A reign-start date is not in either recap. It is not supplied. The art is a masked figure and a blank plate standing in for a title that has a real physical design this site will not copy.
The retention AEW mentioned, and the match it did not recap
Inside the October 21 recap, a look back at WrestleDream says Ospreay won AEW’s first Clockwork Carnage to retain. That is one sentence. It is enough to say the title was defended successfully at WrestleDream, as AEW characterized it, and not enough to list the other participants, the time, or the finish. Those details are cut. If a full WrestleDream results page is added to a later drop, this paragraph should point at it and grow. Until then, “retained at Clockwork Carnage” is the whole prior defense on file.
A tag loss that did not move the belt
The same Dynamite had Fletcher and Knight beat Ospreay and Adam Copeland, with Fletcher pinning Copeland. Okada, identified as International Champion, hit Copeland with the International Title during the match. Fletcher later said the tag result was an official win over the world champion. The pinfall was not on Ospreay, according to the recap’s finish. The title did not change hands. After the match, Callis brought Ospreay’s belt into the ring and Fletcher hit Ospreay with it. A belt used as a weapon is not a title change either. The profile tells that sequence as a person’s week. This page tells it as the reason the championship is in the story without being on the marquee.
Darby Allin entered that post-match and is in the Blood and Guts lineup with Ospreay. Allin’s TNT Championship is a different belt with a Wednesday defense. The world title’s next sourced appearance is the November 4 lineup, not the Fright Night card.
Blood and Guts is not, on this record, a title match
AEW printed the men’s lineup: Ospreay, Copeland, Steven Borden, the Young Bucks, and Allin against Okada, Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle. The November 4 card uses it. The sentence does not say the AEW World Championship is on the line. Don Callis said the match would soften champions and that the family wanted their belts. That is a promo in a results article. Recording it here is the difference between “Callis wants the title” and “the title is stipulated.” Only the first is sourced. Copeland’s October 24 answer sets the date and the city, Jacksonville, which the event page specifies as VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET. The building is on the event page. The match is in the recap. This file needs both.
Full Gear and the line that is still empty
The Full Gear card does not include a world title match. Adding Ospreay against Fletcher, or against anyone else, because the tag loss “sets it up” would be booking, and booking belongs in fiction with a banner. The road map can say the world title picture is pointed at November without naming a phantom opponent. The Dynamite hub is where a defense gets announced if AEW announces one. When that happens, this page gains a row. It does not gain a row tonight to look complete. The champions piece lists this belt next to Morgan’s and Zayn’s so the gaps are comparable: every company, same rule.
Fletcher’s sentence is the one most likely to be misread. He said a tag win was an official win over the world champion. AEW printed that as his view after he pinned Copeland. A reader who wants Ospreay to have been beaten can stop at Fletcher’s line. The finish AEW described does not support the stop. Pin on the partner, belt used as a weapon afterward, champion’s name still attached to Ospreay in the lineup printed later the same night. This file repeats the sequence so the misread has to get past three sentences, not one. The same care applies to Callis wanting the belts. Wanting is not stipulating. November 4 can be the most important match in the reign and still not be a title match. If AEW adds the stipulation, the card and this page gain it together. They do not gain it because the angle would be better if the belt were on the line. Better is not a source. The reign, as filed, is a name, one mentioned retention, one tag loss that left the name in place, and a cage date that does not yet include the belt. That is the whole current document. Add a row only when AEW or another allowed report adds the row first.
