The Don Callis Family's path into Blood and Guts

The thread starts on a Wednesday that has not produced results and ends on a Wednesday that is a special. October 21 and October 24 are the nights AEW’s recaps use to explain why the matches exist. They do not have episode pages in this drop, so they are not rows. The rows are the nights a reader can open: Fright Night Dynamite and Blood and Guts.

Fright Night is the attempt. Darby Allin defends the TNT Championship against Josh Alexander, who asked for the match after beating Blade Brown on the October 24 Collision. Persephone defends the TBS Championship against Queen Aminata, who became the number-one contender by beating Maya World on October 21. FTR against the Motor City Machine Guns is on the same card and is a different story. It is not a Callis Family beat, so it is not a third row. Stuffing every Wednesday match into one feud would make the thread look busy and false.

Blood and Guts is the cage date. AEW’s event page puts it at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville on November 4 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. The men’s lineup from the October 21 recap includes Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, Steven Borden, the Young Bucks, and Allin against Okada, Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle. The women’s match was confirmed on October 24. Neither sentence puts a championship on the line. Don Callis talked about taking belts. A promo is not a stipulation. The world title file says the same thing in belt language.

If Alexander wins on October 28, the November 4 label “TNT Champion Darby Allin” becomes a description of October 21, not of the champion walking into the cage. The person can stay in the match while the title label changes. This thread will not pre-edit that. The status on both rows is announced. The road map is where the special sits next to Crown Jewel and Full Gear. Full Gear’s refused Texas Death stipulation is a different card and not a beat here.

The point of the two-row thread is the order. Title matches first, cage match second, titles not automatically on the line in the cage. A later results drop should add a third kind of row only when a winner exists. Until then the pills say announced, and the Dynamite hub is where Wednesday’s card lives in full.
