Rivalry
Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams
No singles result is on file. Williams' side beat Zayn's side on Oct. 23, and a title match is announced for Oct. 30. The tally stays 0–0.
Sami Zayn
- Undisputed WWE Champion on the WWE index.
- Beat Je'Von Evans on Oct. 26. That match did not include Williams.
0 – 0
Trick Williams
- United States Champion on the WWE index.
- His Oct. 30 match is for Zayn's title, not advertised as winner-take-all.
Singles wins on file are zero. The Oct. 23 six-man is a result and not a singles match. The Oct. 30 title match is announced, so it has no winner.

Penta, Trick Williams, and Rey Fenix def. Sami Zayn, Johnny Gargano, and Ricky Saints. WWE says Williams hit the Book End on Saints and that the win came a week before his title match with Zayn.

Oct announced Undisputed WWE Championship
Sami Zayn is advertised against Trick Williams in Charleston. Fightful's lineup and WWE's Oct. 23 results both name the match. There is no winner.
Zero to zero is the singles record. Sami Zayn and Trick Williams have not, in the files this desk accepts, wrestled a singles match that produced a winner. They have shared a ring in a six-man, and they have a title match on the calendar. Those are different facts, and the page keeps them in different rows.
On October 23, WWE’s SmackDown results say Penta, Williams, and Rey Fenix beat Zayn, Johnny Gargano, and Ricky Saints. Williams hit the Book End on Saints. The sentence that matters for the rivalry is the one that places that win one week before Williams’s Undisputed WWE Title match against Zayn. The six-man is evidence the match was made. It is not evidence that Williams beat Zayn. Saints was the man who took the finish. singles is false, and the win does not move the tally.
October 30 in Charleston is announced. The SmackDown card lists the Undisputed WWE Championship bout and says it is not a winner-take-all with Williams’s United States Championship. Fightful’s lineup agrees on the participants. An announced match has no winner field. If someone screenshots this page before the show and claims a result, the status badge on the row still says announced.
Zayn’s October 26 win over Je’Von Evans is real and irrelevant to this tally. Williams was not in that match. It explains why Zayn is still the champion walking into Friday, which is why the left column says he holds the belt. It does not add a second name to a head-to-head record. The Fresno results are linked so the distinction is easy to check.
October 16 is also not a bout row. WWE’s results from that night say Williams beat Gargano in a non-title match after confronting Zayn. Zayn was present. He was not the opponent. Adding it would inflate a record with a match Williams won against someone else. The omission is the correction before the error.
Crown Jewel still books Zayn against Roman Reigns on November 7. A Williams win on Friday would make that poster stale. This rivalry page will not edit Riyadh in advance. The storyline thread is the week-by-week version of the same caution. When Friday has a result, the bout list gains a singles line and the tally moves only if that result is a pinfall or a submission, not a disqualification or a no-contest.
