Charleston SmackDown has three announced title matches and a host

This is a partial card. Three matches are announced in sources this desk accepts. WWE’s event page for Friday, October 30, lists a 7:30 p.m. start at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia, and prints a set of featured names. Those names are not a match list. Treating them as bouts would invent card.

The featured names on the event page are CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Gunther, and Trick Williams. Trick Williams is in an announced match below, sourced elsewhere. The other names are advertisements on a ticket page until a match report says otherwise. Gunther’s only sourced assignment this week is a segment, filed separately.

The match WWE already put on the record

Sami Zayn defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Trick Williams. WWE’s October 23 SmackDown results say Williams, with Penta and Rey Fenix, beat Zayn, Johnny Gargano, and Ricky Saints, and that Williams hit the Book End on Saints “just one week before his Undisputed WWE Title Match against Zayn next week on SmackDown.” That sentence is the promotion’s own booking note. Fightful’s lineup piece the same night lists the match as Undisputed WWE Championship: Sami Zayn against Trick Williams, and says Williams had asked for it earlier in the Ontario show.

Zayn’s Fresno defense, on the October 26 Raw, does not remove this match. WWE has not posted a Charleston result. The status stays announced. Williams is United States Champion on the champions index. The Charleston match, as Fightful and the October 23 line write it, is for Zayn’s title. This page will not add a second belt.

Two more title matches, sourced to Fightful’s lineup

Chelsea Green against Nikki Bella for the WWE Women’s Championship is on Fightful’s updated lineup for October 30. Fightful’s lineup is the source that the match is on the Charleston card. WWE’s champions index lists Green as WWE Women’s Champion. Nikki’s challenge is not, by itself, a result.

Rey Fenix against Ricky Saints for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship is on the same Fightful lineup. One line in that article typos the last name. The lineup bullet and WWE’s spelling on the October 23 results use Ricky Saints. This card uses Saints. Fightful says the match was announced after Saints and Fenix were in the Ontario main event. WWE’s October 23 recap describes Saints attacking Fenix and the six-man that followed. It does not, in the text used here, print the cruiserweight title match in WWE’s own voice. That is why the bout is sourced to Fightful and still labeled announced, not rumored: Fightful presents it as a lineup item, and the desk is not upgrading it into a WWE.com announcement it has not seen.

The host, and the segment that is not a match

Fightful reports that the episode is billed Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown, with Danhausen hosting, and that Danhausen has not been announced for a match. A later Fightful note says Gunther, in a WWE digital exclusive, promised to do something special for Danhausen on the show. The segment is announced. It has no opponent and no finish. It sits under segments so it cannot be skimmed as a bout.

Danhausen is also WWE’s named host for NXT Halloween Havoc on October 31. That is a different event on a different brand. Hosting SmackDown on Friday does not place him in a Havoc match. The Halloween Havoc card has its own list.

What Charleston is for, in the sources

Zayn’s week already includes a controversial Raw defense and a Crown Jewel match against Roman Reigns. Williams gets the television title shot in between, on a show WWE has placed in Charleston. Green wrestles Nikki on the same card while her Crown Jewel match against Liv Morgan remains a separate booking. None of those later matches are results. When SmackDown airs, this page should be replaced by a results file with winners and sources, or updated in place if the matches change before the bell. The SmackDown hub is where that file will be linked.
