Backstory
Vaquer was not medically cleared, so Pearce booked Morgan against Lynch. The Judgment Day caused the DQ. Green and IYO SKY made the save, and Stratton nearly cashed in.
Monday’s Raw from the Save Mart Center in Fresno was booked, before the bell, as a night of announced singles and tag matches. By the time WWE posted the results, two of those matches had become title fights, one announced match had been replaced, and the Women’s World Championship had not changed hands. This recap follows WWE’s results page and Fightful’s results file for the same show. It does not add a finish WWE did not print.
WWE’s own fall schedule named Monday, October 26, in Fresno at the Save Mart Center as a Raw date. Fightful’s results file places the episode on Netflix from that building. The results page itself is the source for who won.
The card that was announced, and the card that aired
Fightful’s pre-show results file listed four announced bouts: Raquel Rodriguez against IYO SKY, Chad Gable and Dragon Lee against Big Cass and Ethan Page, Bayley against Lyra Valkyria with no disqualification, and a Women’s World Championship number-one contender’s match between Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch. That last match is the one that did not happen as announced.
WWE’s results say Stephanie Vaquer was not medically cleared. Adam Pearce then named Liv Morgan, the Women’s World Champion, as Becky Lynch’s opponent, with the title on the line. The desk is not filling in a diagnosis. “Not medically cleared” is the phrase WWE used. Anything more specific would be a guess.
The other three announced matches did take place, and WWE added an Undisputed WWE Championship defense that was not on Fightful’s pre-show list. Sami Zayn was already advertised for a champion-versus-champion match against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. On this Raw, WWE says Je’Von Evans confronted him and forced a defense.
Sami Zayn keeps the title after a cash-in is interrupted
WWE’s result line is Sami Zayn def. Je’Von Evans. The context on the results page is an impromptu Undisputed WWE Championship match. Penta came out to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. Before he could, Bron Breakker attacked him from behind at ringside. Evans left the ring to take on Breakker. WWE says that distraction let Zayn hit the Helluva Kick for the pin. After the match, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed followed with Spears and Tsunamis on Penta and Evans.
Two readings sit on top of that report, and both should stay labeled as readings. First, Zayn is still champion on the way to Crown Jewel, which is the fact WWE states by listing the win and by still billing him as Undisputed WWE Champion for Riyadh. Second, the win is the kind of finish WWE itself called controversial in the page’s summary. The controversy is part of the promotion’s own frame, not an invention of this desk. What WWE does not say is whether Penta’s contract was officially submitted. The recap says he emerged looking to cash in and was attacked before he could. This page will not claim the briefcase was spent, and it will not claim it is still live.
Bayley makes Lyra Valkyria tap
Bayley def. Lyra Valkyria in a No Disqualification match. WWE’s results say the match used steel chairs, kendo sticks, tables, belts, brooms, steel steps, and trash cans. The finish WWE describes is specific: Bayley put Valkyria through a table at ringside with a flying elbow from the second rope, then applied a kendo-stick crossface until Valkyria tapped.
Fightful had this bout on the announced card as a No DQ match, so the stipulation did not change between the pre-show file and the result. WWE’s highlight language says Bayley had been “dishing out weeks of mind games.” That is a promotion summary, not a catalog of those segments. This recap does not reconstruct the earlier weeks from memory. The sourced result is the submission in Fresno. The Raw hub will pick up the next chapter when a later episode files it.
A duration, a referee’s name, and a move-by-move sheet circulated on outlets this desk does not use as sources. Those details are cut.
IYO SKY beats the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, then gets jumped
IYO SKY def. Raquel Rodriguez in a match WWE labels non-title. The results page says IYO countered the Tejana Bomb and scored the pin. It also identifies Raquel as Women’s Intercontinental Champion in the post-match paragraph: she and Roxanne Perez attacked IYO SKY after the bell. A non-title loss does not, on this report, move the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. WWE’s champions index, filed separately, still lists Raquel Rodriguez in that spot. See the champions analysis for the index as a whole.
The attack is the part that points forward. IYO had just won, and the champion she beat recruited a partner for the aftermath. That is a story beat WWE printed. It is not yet a rematch announcement.
Page and Cass get the tag win after Gable is taken out
Ethan Page and Big Cass def. Chad Gable and Dragon Lee. WWE says Gable, the Intercontinental Champion, was taken out at ringside. Dragon Lee then lost to a big boot from Big Cass and Page’s Egoplex. The result line does not say the Intercontinental Championship changed hands. Gable being removed from the match is not the same thing as dropping the belt. The champions index still names him Intercontinental Champion. Treat the tag result as a tag result.
Fightful’s announced pairing matches the teams that wrestled. This is one of the bouts that survived from the pre-show card to the results page without a stipulation change.
Liv Morgan retains when the match is thrown out
Becky Lynch def. Liv Morgan by disqualification in a Women’s World Title match. WWE says that when Lynch locked in the Dis-arm-her, The Judgment Day attacked and the referee called for the bell. A disqualification win for the challenger does not move the title. Liv Morgan is still Women’s World Champion on WWE’s telling, both in this recap and on the champions index.
The post-match is crowded, and each name is on the results page. Chelsea Green and IYO SKY came in and stopped the three-on-one. Tiffany Stratton, who won the women’s Money in the Bank contract on October 10, then nearly cashed in. Dominik Mysterio pulled Morgan out before that cash-in became a match. “Nearly” is WWE’s word. This desk will not write that Stratton cashed in, and it will not write that the contract is gone.
Green’s appearance matters because Crown Jewel already bills her, as WWE Women’s Champion, against Morgan. She spent part of Fresno on Morgan’s side of a fight. That is a fact about one segment. It is not a truce, and WWE does not call it one.
What Fresno sets up, and what it does not
Zayn leaves Fresno still Undisputed WWE Champion, with a defense behind him and Trick Williams waiting on the October 30 SmackDown card that WWE’s October 23 results already named. Morgan leaves still Women’s World Champion, with Lynch holding a disqualification win and Stratton still hovering. Bayley leaves with a submission over Valkyria and no title attached to that result in the sources used here.
The next Raw file should not inherit a rumor from this one. If a rematch, a cash-in, or a title change is announced, it needs its own source line and its own status label. Until then, Fresno is a results page: five matches, one replaced bout, and two championships that stayed where they were.
